The RED Project

The Redness Experience-sharing
and Data-collaboration Project

Shinji Noda, MD, PhD

A clinical initiative to advance vascular and redness treatments for Asian skin types through real cases, shared insights, and collaborative data.

The RED Project is an international clinical collaboration dedicated to advancing the understanding, treatment, and education of vascular and redness-related skin conditions, with a special focus on real-world outcomes in Asian skin types. The initiative is co-led by Dr. Shinji Noda, Japanese board-certified dermatologist, Ph.D. from University of Tokyo and Director at Tokyo Dermatology in Ikebukuro, Japan, and Dr. Phuriwat Ariyakusolsutti, Medical director of The Signature Clinic in Bangkok, Thailand — both renowned for their clinical expertise in laser dermatology and energy-based skin treatments.

Dr. Noda brings over seven years of specialized experience in VBeam and an expanding clinical focus on DermaV, having become one of Japan’s most respected physicians in the treatment of erythema, rosacea, telangiectasia, and post-inflammatory redness. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Noda was trained at The Rockefeller University in New York City, where he served as an Associate Attending Physician and Instructor in Clinical Investigation, earned a Master of Science in Translational Science and held a full medical license in the state of New York. His academic background complements his hands-on clinical work, allowing him to bridge the gap between scientific rigor and practical application.

Dr. Phuriwat, a leading figure in Thailand’s aesthetic energy-based laser community, is known for his expertise in protocol design for Asian skin, multi-modal skin rejuvenation, and his role as a trainer trusted by CynosureLutronic through The Signature Clinic, which serves as a hands-on training hub for regional doctors and practitioners.

Together, The RED Project is established not as a commercial endorsement, but as a community-centered, data-driven platform for shared learning, open discussion, and cross-border collaboration. The project will serve as a central point for case-based knowledge exchange, in-depth clinical observations, and structured exploration of treatment protocols using DermaV, VBeam, and potentially other vascular-focused technologies.

Through clinical lectures, workshops, live demonstrations, multi-center reviews, and data-driven protocol refinement, The RED Project will actively engage physicians across Thailand, Japan, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. The aim is to provide unbiased, evidence-informed education, and to produce meaningful insights grounded not in marketing narratives, but in the outcomes of real patient care.

A key feature of the project is the joint evaluation of vascular and redness treatments in Japanese and Thai skin — providing critical comparative insight into how these conditions and technologies respond across different Asian phenotypes. This aspect underscores the RED Project’s commitment to regional dermatologic relevance and scientific contribution..

Ultimately, The RED Project aspires to become a long-term, evolving collaboration — where science, community, and clinical excellence converge to redefine how vascular and redness concerns are treated across Asia.
